If you are on a budget, buying all organic can be a little bit more expensive than buying the generic brand. Many people wonder if organic fruits and vegetables are really worth those extra few bucks anyway.
This guide was put together to help you decide which fruits and vegetables you should aim for organic options, and which ones you may feel better about buying generic knowing they at least have lesser amounts of pesticides used.
I'm sure we can agree that no pesticides are good, but unfortunately in the US, they are difficult to avoid and this is the game we have to play grocery shopping. If you don't grow your own fruits and vegetables, it's nearly impossible to avoid pesticides or contamination... so take this list and do you best with what you have, where you are.
The "Dirty Dozen" is a list of the top 12 fruits and vegetables that were sprayed with the highest amount of pesticides & The "Clean 15" represents the fruits and veggies sprayed with the lowest amounts of pesticides.
View the list below and feel free to screenshot & save for the next time you're at the grocery store and are deciding which fruits and vegetables to choose organic options for if you can't buy all organic or grow your own!
